Climate change is a vast challenge facing our world, with many moving parts, problems and solutions. But there is no one solution, or one right path. Mindfulness practice helps us increase our capacity to hold complexity while also helping us sit in discomfort without having to "fix" or escape it. Mindfulness asks us to calm our inner state, watch the fluctuations of the mind without adhering to the thoughts, and cultivate a relationship to our inner center. These practices help us increase our resilience and inner equanimity and this self-care and nourishment supports us in being more effective in all aspects of our lives, including our chosen climate passions.

Led by Nikyta Palmisani, an instructor of Terra.do’s Learning for Action program and an Ecopsychologist and Mindfulness instructor who lives and practices on Lopez Island in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Nikyta has been working internationally on Climate Change in NGOs, in private practice with groups and individual clients, as well as on United Nations delegations. She currently instructs for Terra.do where she leads cohorts of professionals in their journey to take meaningful action on climate change and where she leads workshops for cultivating Emotional Resilience.
